Family Homeless Resource Specialists* at UMOM New Day Centers assist families who are experiencing homelessness or a housing crisis in identifying resources, support, and/or assessment through the community coordinated entry system at the Family Housing Hub (FHH). You're a great candidate for this position if you're passionate about working with families and contributing to ending homelessness in our community.

Candidates for this position are primed for success if they enjoy tackling problems and working creatively towards solutions. If you get satisfaction from completing multiple tasks during the day and being able to work independently, while knowing your work is part of a larger team effort, this role will play to your strengths. You should also be comfortable working with people in-person and on the phone. It's not uncommon to make 20 phone calls in a day as you speak with clients, and find and arrange for needed resources. The work done within this position is detail-oriented and fast-paced you might find it challenging and even exhausting at times because you understand how important the work is to those you are helping, but you'll finish each day knowing your efforts had a direct and positive impact on families.

The schedule for this position is Monday 12-8pm, and Tuesday Friday 9am-5pm, so if you want to extend your weekend a little later on Sunday, that's cool because you get to sleep in Monday morning!
