Founded in 1964, UMOM is Arizona's larger provider of services for families experiencing homelessness. Our mission is to prevent and end homelessness using innovative strategies and housing solutions that meet the unique needs of each family and individual. With an annual operating budget of 18 million dollars, UMOM provides shelter, housing, and supportive services to youth, families, and individuals experiencing homelessness in Maricopa County. UMOM serves just over 12,000 unique individuals across all of our services annually, including those families receiving support at the Family Housing Hub.

Position Description:

Manage UMOM Rapid Rehousing programs with a specific focus on families, providing support and supervision to all direct reports as well as assist with monitoring of grant compliance and management.   

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Manage Rapid Rehousing and housing specialist programs according to established policy and procedures
  2. Oversee process for determining eligibility of all prospective UMOM RRH clients
  3. Oversee process for developing housing plans for all UMOM shelter clients
  4. Collaborate with all UMOM housing and shelter programs to determine most appropriate housing interventions
  5. Review client files and provide guidance and direction to Rapid Rehousing Housing Stability Specialists.
  6. Conduct ongoing staff meetings and supervision for Housing Stability Specialists
  7. Provide back up support for Housing Stability Specialists as needed
  8. Attend weekly client staffing for housing support
  9. Oversee Rapid Rehousing services for families residing at Watkins
  10. Oversee Rapid Rehousing services for mobile DV housing program
  11. Manage partner relationships with Mobile DV housing program
  12. Maintain client confidentiality
  13. Provide quarterly summaries and documentation as required
  14. Provide reports and documentation for all Rapid Rehousing programs as required
  15. Assure all client files and case notes are accurate and up to date through quarterly peer review
  16. Maintain list of housing providers and oversee landlord recruitment for UMOM RRH programs
  17. Provide support to clients and staff regarding landlord/ tenant issues
  18. Assist in serving as liaison to housing providers/ landlords when appropriate
  19. Assist in serving as liaison to HOM Inc. for all Rapid Rehousing programs
  20. Develop and maintain client files for specialized grants
  21. Provide direct assistance to Halle housing clients
  22. Comply with established agency policies and procedures 

Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Social Work or related field preferred. Bachelor's degree in related field required.
  • 1 supervisory experience required.
  • Demonstrated successful performance outcomes.
  • Experience with Rapid Rehousing programs preferred.
  • Case Management experience preferred.
  • Bilingual English/ Spanish preferred.
  • Knowledge of community resources and understanding of community health and social service system.
  • Valid AZ Driver's license with no more than 2 moving violations in a one-year period required.
  • 100/300 level auto coverage insurance required.
  • Level One Fingerprint Clearance Card or the ability to obtain one
  • Knowledge of current Windows OS, MS Word, Excel
